9 out of 10 employers say they check references when evaluating candidates. Freelancers with more than 3 references are 80% more likely to get shortlisted, interviewed, and hired.
With Communo, you can append your past employer references directly into your profile! This lets previous employers share what it’s like to work with you and vouch for your credibility.
Getting smashing references is easier than you think, and there is absolutely no limit to how many references you can have!
Follow this quick tutorial to bolster your profile with references today.
# Access Your References
In your profile dropdown menu, under 'Edit Profile' you will find 'References.'
# Request a Reference
When you "Request a Reference" you will be asked for the contact's email address and some context information.
After submitting this form, your reference will receive an email saying that "A freelancer you worked with has requested a reference".
All completed references will be showcased on your profile!
# Hide a Reference
You can also hide references from showing up on your profile. Simply, access your references on the same screen you requested, under "View References."
You will see a small "Visible" icon below the picture of the individual who gave you the reference, and by toggling this icon to "Hidden" you will successfully hide that reference from showing on your profile.
We hope this article helps you navigate where to request a reference so you can elevate your profile and start building trust on the platform.
