This is a question we notice that Communo members tend to have often. We hope this article can shine some light onto this, and maybe help you understand why you are receiving them.
There is a reason you might be receiving emails from us. It is because you are a Communo member (or a former LocalSolo member that was migrated to Communo), and we have a few default settings in place when it comes to how we communicate with you as a member of our community.
There are certain reasons we reach out to you. They include, but are not limited to:
- You are currently in a chat with another member of Communo. So when they send you messages, you are notified through email and pop up notifications on your computer.
- You are listed to receive emails about work you fall into the roles and categories of. So you will be notified when a new work listing is posted where your talents match up.
- Agency only - You posted some work, and now you are receiving notifications about freelancers who are applying to your work posting.
If there are some areas from above you are less inclined to want to be reached out for, and you wish to change your notification settings/preferences to better match your needs with Communo, please refer to this article:
Where are my email notification settings?
If you wish to deactivate your account, please refer to this article:
How do I deactivate my account?
We must inform you that if you do choose this route, you can no longer access or talk to other members of the Communo family. Even if you already have a conversation going.
We hope this article helped you understand a little more why you are getting emails.
Thank you!
